What is my nerd type?
What Be Your Nerd Type? Your Result: Gamer/Computer Nerd You enjoy the visual stimulants of a video game, chatting on AIM, or reading online comics. Most of these types of nerds are considered dirty who lack hygeine, of course they always end up being the ones who make a crapload of money. And don't worry, that's just a stereotype; I'm not calling you dirty. ^_~ |

A new tutorial...
For anyone who is interested, I have published a new tutorial on my web site on how to list your site with Google.

How long before...
So, Google now owns MySpace and Blogspot. How long before they merge the 2 into one blogging service? Or, will they keep them as two separate entities?
Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that I can go to one page and check my AdSense revenues, post to my blog, check my e-mail, etc. But really, does Google need to have duplicate services?

Is it just me?
Has anyone else noticed a ton of spam over the last 2 months or so on their Blogspot site about downloading Firefox from some random idiots web site? I can't believe that I was the only one who was hammered by these; I had about 20 of them come in in one day.
I know that you can get kick-backs for people downloading Firefox from a link on your site, but if I am not mistaken spamming violates the terms of this agreement.
Legitimate posts welcome, posters wanting me to download Firefox from them can e-mail the Spampyre on my other site.

Speaking of renovations...
In my last post, I mentioned that renovations at my place of employment allowed me to move back in with the rest of my department.
Katherine and I are also renovating our entryway at home. Our dog, who I am sure means well, but can be a demon puppy sometimes, ripped up 2 vinyl tiles, and proceeded to eat through the plywood sub-floor. She is okay, but the floor was a little worse for the wear.
We ripped up the sub-floor, have cut and laid down the Wonder Board, screwed it down, and have put the first layer of sealant down. We need to put a couple more levels of sealant on, cut the ceramic tiles, put the quickset down, layout the tiles and spacers, grout the cracks between the tiles, and finally seal the grout. Fortunately though, the worst parts appear to be over.
If she gets through the ceramic tile and concrete board, I am going to rent her out to demolitions teams.

New area at work
I have moved to my permanent spot at work finally. When I was hired in August of last year, there was not permanent spot for me so I - as was with the case of 3 of my coworkers - was sitting in a completely separate area from most of my department.
Not long after I started, renovating began and a wall was knocked down to create a larger room for my department. However, this is when I learned that there were no desks for the 4 of us sitting in the other area. Finally desks arrived and were assembled and I now have cupboards, a file cabinet, a full-size desk, a smaller desk, and a push-pin board.
Seems like I am moving up in the world, or at least laterally in it.
